Thank you for reading this today. Thank you for taking the time. Thank you for making time for yourself, for putting yourself first.
I’m letting my body guide me today. Something I seemed to have forgotten to do in awhile. I’m typing this with my eyes closed now. Isn’t it funny how little credit and acknowledgement we give to our bodies, for how intelligent they are! I’m sure I’ll have to proofread this but to be frank, I don’t think I’ll find too many typos or errors than I usually do.
Once our bodies learn something, the muscle memory does last for so long! The more repetitively we do something, each day in our external physical reality, or in an imagination within our minds, our bodies are going to remember whatever it is. Hence why I know I can type today without having to look at the screen. I can keep looking, if I don’t trust myself, or too fearful to not have control of the outcome, but you know what? I’m letting go. I’m letting the body guide me.
The downside to this muscle memory/ the habits, which pretty much means that it’s also a part of our subconscious mind, is that there maybe so many habits we’ve formed unconsciously which may not be things that impact us positively. We may have repetitively thought of our worries and unconsciously manifested those into our lives. How we feel, is what we’re blessed with in our physical reality. Just something to keep in mind. We also may unconsciously do the same routined things each day, manifesting the same reality everyday if we are run by our habits.
We can always reprogram our mind and body by directing our thoughts in the way we want. By being aware of our thoughts, which creates the feelings in our body, which then makes us take action, we can always do this. It might not be possible to do all day long but whenever you become aware that you’re in your head or getting carried away, you can always come back to the present moment. Being present itself, being here right now, your body can’t take over, which means you can’t be run by your habits unconsciously. Doing a task repetitively with intent, for three weeks or more daily is a way to create a habit, if you want to do it consciously.
As much as creating these habits and reprogramming our subconscious mind can be fun, if we simply let go, be present to each moment and allow life to happen, trust me you’re in for a treat! You are not resisting life anymore, you’re allowing life to happen as it is. In the absence of resistance, there is freedom. The moment you feel free, you are open to life and you’ll feel so much love and gratitude. When you are open to life, life can be blissful. You don’t have to trust me on it, try it for yourself!
Maybe take one day, where you start your day with the intent to be present as much as you can. Meditate for ten to twenty minutes as soon as you wake up so you come to the present moment. Notice how the energy feels in your body. When I say I’m listening to my body, I mean listening to my gut and doing what I feel, and not letting my ego control me and drive with fear.
Keep being aware of the energy in your body as you do your daily tasks. You might notice how your energy shifts throughout your day, from light to heavy. Lean into the things that make you feel light (feelings of love, gratitude, joy, peace, freedom), keep choosing to give more focus on to the things that make you feel light and do more of it. If you feel heavy and drained (anger, frustration, depressed, jaded) doing something like watching news, interacting with someone or even with what you eat and drink, or whatever else, simply give yourself permission to move away from it. You don’t need to have a reason or feel or even understand why you feel the way you do, just trust how you feel. There’s no need to justify why you aren’t doing something anymore, it feeling heavy and putting you into a lower vibration is a good enough reason. 😊
I’m going to listen to the energy in my body more. I’m going to notice what feels good (light) and what feels bad (heavy). Doing so would also allow me to know what are the things that I do that I actually enjoy doing, and what are the things I do out of habit though they may make me feel miserable. Last year, when I was at a very low place, I let go of everything and anything that felt heavy, it completely changed my life around. I’m so grateful I did that and thankful to where I am now. I urge you to try it out for yourself.
Once again, thank you for reading. Simply taking the time to read this, to be present and live consciously, is you showing yourself love. The more you love yourself, the more you are able to love others and we could always use a little more love. 💚
